This journalistic style engagement started out with a thunder storm and then the skies magically cleared up as promised. We were heard to the UTM campus where these two have some history and it meant a lot for them to get photographs here. I was happy because it meant variety. I love when my clients show up in dresses and then bring a optional outfit as it gives you a completely different look to your photos.
I’m not sure what this building was but I knew as soon as I passed it with the chandeliers shining through that it was a perfect photo location.
Then we just started walking as I needed to see what the light was doing. I will put you in random locations where you may think I’m a little nuts but you have to trust. This was just a mirrored wall on one of the buildings right in front of the setting sun.
One of the many courtyard in the UTM complex.
I was drawn to the sunlight shining on the many windows inside this courtyard.
Then there’s 3 cherry blossom trees in full bloom just randomly on top of this hill so I figured it was a little something different from all the industrial buildings we were using.
As we were walking through one of the UTM facilities i was able to photograph them from above at the top of a staircase.
This is literally what the sky looked like 1 hour after the thunderstorms passed by and here we are in the football field at the university.
Then I LOVE a parking garage! i know, I’m sure they thought I was crazy but they trusted me and didn’t argue it at all.
UTM… i love it. From the football field you could see this staircase and the parking garage all in the same location come on now!!!!!! perfect location for an engagement session.
This is where he proposed and even construction in the background looks good at dusk.
