Unionville Markham Ontario Journalistic Wedding Photographer
I had the pleasure of doing some journalistic second shooting for another wedding photographer I admire, Alicia Riley Photography. Unionville Ontario is a quaint, small town feel with a really cute main street perfect for bridal photos of the wedding party and bride and groom alone. My day began at the church getting the low down from the priest and his assisstant as I waited for guests to arrive. Alicia spent the morning with the bride and groom capturing their bridal preparations and was meeting me at the church. The limo soon arrived with the bride and she was gorgeous as you can see. The church was beautiful and had plenty of natural light and I took advantage of the balcony while Alicia as the Primary Photographer stayed on the main level to capture all the required church ceremony images like the walk down the aisle, the father bride hand off, the first kiss……ect. As a second shooter, I’m able to get creative and capture the ceremony and portraits with a journalistic style and creative touch. I try and capture journalistic images of the bride and groom, the wedding party and the guests. We then went into the quaint little town of Unionville for some formal portraits and took advantage of the stunning light peeking through alley ways and spilling down the main street. Working as a second also allows me to view how another photographer uses the wedding day timeline and how she photographs her bride and groom which is completely different from my style which you can see here. The day ended at a beautiful reception hall where Alicia Riley taught me a little about off camera flash which I totally appreciated and will be putting her tips to good use soon as I experiment more with off camera flash at wedding receptions.
Thanks again Alicia for having me as your second shooter and hope you enjoy my journalistic images of your brides beautiful day.
