journalistic wedding photography of indian bride and groom at the royal ambassador

This Royal Ambassador Event Centre wedding was traditional with a lot of fun aspects to the day.  The day started with bride and groom preparations at their parents homes, then off to the Royal Ambassador for their first look and bridesmaids photos.  Then it was time for the Milni where the groom arrives on a horse with his family to meet the brides family.  The bridesmaids then barter with the groom to allow him entry ….. then we are off to the ceremony that begins at the gazebo on the waterfront with the groom only.  A cool breeze for this extensive 2 hour ceremony including all the traditional rituals that were new to me and very exciting, but definitely kept me on my toes as I never knew what was going to happen next.  When the bride arrives the ceremony continues with more traditional rituals and then it’s time for the party.  Guests were fed all day long with snacks and refreshments and the day went very smooth and relaxed.

A bride and her maid of honour steal a moment before formal pictures and I love these parasols the bride provided for her guests.

When the sun is this high in the sky, it’s best to have your bride and groom looking at each other or walking like this to stay away from squinting.

Then have the girls walk towards you looking at each other to elicit spontaneous laughter and giggles
