Rachael and Max contacted me when I requested a couple who would be willing to have their engagement session during cherry blossom season. Now originally, I wanted to go to High Park’s Cherry Blossomsand we planned on going on Friday May 8 (peak day) and figured traffic, crowds and parking would be a little easier but after doing some research and talking to other photographers I knew that it would be crazy to try and get 3 of us to connect all coming separately from different locations. All the while I’m watching the weather and talking with Rachael and trying to coordinate schedules so we decide to change the location to Brampton’s Archdekin Park. The weather wasn’t agreeing with us and I knew I only had one chance left to make this happen and that was going to beKarya Park in Mississauga which is the last to bloom. I have a friend who lives in the neighbourhood and sent me daily picture updates of the blossoms and so we planned on going on Monday after Mother’s Day. Again, I wanted to avoid the crowds as much as possible and weather was again a factor. When I arrived at the park it was 16 degrees and fogged in……. I couldn’t believe it as it was sunny and 21 degrees when I left my home, but the rain held off and the session was a success.
Racheal and Max had also planned on changing outfits and this was much easier to do at Karya Park than it would have been at High Park….so all in all an amazing day for photography and I look forward to their wedding in the fall at The Vue
