I talked these two into having their engagement session in the cute town of Erin in Caledon. It’s not always about picking a pretty park, it’s a lot more about variety and light. Erin is an ideal location because on one side of the street it’s a little bit country with barns, warehouses, old homes and fields all in the shade. The other side of the street its quaint storefronts, brick and stone walls, ivy walls, a river, creek, bridge and the gorgeous light at dusk with beautiful sunsets.
This beautiful ivy wall for a backdrop during an engagement session was ideal.
The sun was setting nicely behind them and lighting this river perfectly.
I faced them into the light and both their blue eyes looked incredible.
I simply ask them to walk away from me and then walk back looking at each other and capture the awkward moments they have giggling together.
The light was still very bright but once you put them in front of it and use the right lens it’s magic.
It’s al about the hands and using them when being photographed
Something a little different and fun with the hot sun
The moments that happen when you ask them to snuggle together
This building on the East side of the main street worked as a pop of colour for the background
I circled them here while they stayed in the same position and shot from different angles with Nikon D4 70-200mm
He changed into a pink shirt which was the perfect opportunity to photograph them shooting through rose bushes.
