Brides these days have 2 dresses and it’s very rare that enough time is allowed for a wardrobe change during their busy wedding day schedule. So, we opted to do an encore session at Wards Island a few months after their wedding. They ordered another Coriander Girl Bouquet, made arrangements with the ferry, got a permit for Wards Island, hair and makeup and schedule the session during the weekday to lessen the crowds and the weather was perfect. We spent about 45 min. on the island in a few key spots before it was time to head home.
Weather: 2pm overcast day
On our way to the taxi stand from the their condo, we stopped outside the Distillery District for a quick photo.
As we boarded the ferry I kept my camera out as I knew we would be able to get some great images of the Toronto skyline on our way to Wards Island. The weather was on our side with cloudy and partly sunny throughout the day which was ideal for photography
This was our first stop once we arrived on the island. I like to get my couple warmed up for photography by just having them walk together for me while looking at each other.
A journalistic style wedding photo of just my bride alone walking towards me.
A close up of this gorgeous bouquet from Coriander Girl. Every time I hear that by brides have gotten their flowers from coriander girl I get excited because i know exactly how gorgeous they are going to be. Stunning masterpieces!
The Toronto skyline from Wards Island is epic for wedding photography, but very rarely do we get to go on an actual wedding day because of timing.
This bride wanted some photos with their beloved chihuahua and I obliged. This is the cutest photo….look at those ears.
