The Manor by Peterandpauls was a busy place with 3 weddings going on, but you would never know it. The staff are awesome and Chris stood out to me and made an awesome door man for all the guests including answering questions and giving directions. The ceremony space was converted to the reception room once the marriage was completed. The room was simple, and elegant with a beautiful chandelier and great natural light. The manor also provided a great space for cocktails and an outside space to get some fresh air.
The day started out at the brides home for journalistic photographs of her getting ready with the bridesmaids and mom and all her details too. Then we had a sweet first look with dad and off to get married.
Ring photographed on the sparkly bridesmaids dresses. This rose gold stunner sparkled all it’s own. Nikon D750 105mm macro
A gift from her groom was exactly what she wished for on her wedding day. Nikon D750 24-70 mm f4
The beautiful bridal portrait is 3-5min. long and I try and do one of these sessions at every wedding. Brides should definitely take this time to just relax for 5 min and breathe. Nikon D750 85mm 1.4 @f1.4
Definitely a country bride and with the simple touch of a adding a cowboy boot to your day can still keep a wedding elegant without going all out country. You did such a great job!
This bride wanted to make sure we got a photo of her dogs on her wedding day because they are such a big part of the family.
The bridal suite at The Manor was a great room for brides. Beautiful window light and grand mirror and lots of room for everyone.
The bridal Suite at The Manor had great space, light and a beautiful mirror.
Emotional grooms that really didn’t expect to get emotional when they see their brides for the first time.
This ceremony space was simple, elegant and just plain lovely.
These 2 jumped the gun just a tad and had to be called back to finish the ceremony by the officiant. Their guests loved it and it allowed everyone to get more photos too…..take two.
Late afternoon, late November skies make for great photos. This bridal party was fantastic and really fun and real troopers for going outdoors in the cold.
Boys will be boys and this group had a great time.
I think it’s important to have the wedding party do some kind of activity or move somehow so that the photos don’t look staged and too formal…..at least for some as we do get the formal photo as well.
Everyone group huddle please! and voila
We were starting to lose our light so it was time for me to take my bride and groom for some alone time. I had them walk down the hill here towards me just looking at each other as I photographed them. Nikon D4 70-200mm at f4.5 auto ISO
I usually just let me couple stand together in a way that is comfortable for them and then I tweak them as I go with directions.
I keep them in the same location and just do a walk around as I give them slight pointers and hand movements. Nikon D4 70-200mm f4.5
When you’re at a Golf Course or event space with one backdrop like trees you need to be very creative in the way you interact with you clients to get different images. Nikon D4 70-200mm f4.5 auto ISO
A beautiful mansion in the background give a little something different to a simple golf course for photos.
The light was slowly slipping away, but not before we caught a few more images outside.
This is the foyer of The Manor and we managed to hold back the guests to get this shot using a GL 1 video light,
This is a very tricky time of day and timing is critical. Schedules don’t always allow being able to go outside to catch the dusk sky, but for this couple is was easy to slip outside for 5 min. and get this shot.
As they were walking back in to The Manor I grabbed this shot quickly. It’s important to me to get them a variety of photos, but also important to be able to do it quickly so that they can enjoy their party and not feel like all they are doing is photography.
The grooms mom is elated at her sons wedding and the emotions showed throughout the evening how proud she was.
The grand entrance with the wedding party is alway a fun time for quirky moves and photos.
This gown was made for dancing and it was spectacular on her. I loved that she chose to wear one gown all night long.
Another chandelier in the ballroom was fabulous for photos to add just a little touch of class.
The photos to remind you how you were feeling at that moment are my favourites.
Speeches are a great opportunity to get creative and hide a lot of the clutter on tables and really isolate the reactions of the guests.
